What is a Creativity Doula?
You probably have heard about a birth doula. According to the Indie Birth website, “A doula, which translates to ‘a woman who serves,’ is a trained and experienced woman who provides physical, emotional, spiritual and informational support to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.”
In much the same way, a creativity doula, is a trained and experienced woman who provides support physically, emotionally, spiritually and informationally to other women who desire to give birth, instead of to a human life, to the life of their dreams, no matter how big or how small.
My Story
Amy’s journey as a doula is not your average story. Amy’s first work in the world was as an educator. She taught kindergarten through college age students as a reading specialist. Later in that career, she began implementing her passion for social and emotional learning into her work with students. Simultaneously, she worked on her own healing journey and deepened her connection with her true self. Her healing included facing her own journey with infertility, her relationship with her body, and her value as a woman. At the age of thirteen, Amy was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and told she would never have children. Through her exploration during a women’s retreat, she realized that she can give birth and so can every other woman. Women can use the birthing process within themselves to birth anything they are passionate about, anything that they desire, and anything that needs healing. At the retreat, she was guided to an understanding that her work in the world was now to be a creativity doula that would guide women to see their value and creative power.

I’m grateful that you have found Sacred Creations Doula.
I am looking forward to supporting women as they say yes to their innate knowing about what it means to hold the sacred process of creation at a cellular level. It is within each one of us.
It is my fervent desire to walk beside women who have not experienced childbirth as they claim their power and birth new possibilities through the wisdom of their own creative capacity.
It is my privilege and to encourage and celebrate women as their gifts are manifested out into the world and beyond.
